Today will go down in history as the day when Pakistan’s Cricket Team, an underdog, showed it’s mettle and proved to the world that YES! We can win the world cup (provided we fight for it).
Today will also go down in history as the day when the #PakCricket hashtag shot up the Trending Topics on Twitter to beat “Daddy” on Father’s Day. Truly a day to remember.
And of course, today will be easily forgotten (by some) in history when I,@Waisybabu, received the stop-it-you-are-going-twill-yourself sign from Twitter. Me and a whole slew of bloggers aka blaagers were tweeting about Pakistan’s match with Sri Lanka live as it happened.

Of course, this meant tweets were to be tweeted. I just went one step ahead and tweeted too much. Twitter’s servers were notified of this and immediately stopped me from posting more for the next hour saying,
“Wow! That’s a lot of twittering! You’ve reached your limit for the hour. Try again later”.
So happy. Mashallah! 
But who cares!? WE WON THE MATCH! WE DID IT! Now I will be able to tell my grandchildren someday that “Son, Shahid Afridi was our national hero” and that “Beti, Pakistan won the 2009 T20 World Cup when I was 16″ and of course that “Twitter thought I was some spamming robot” and that “Katrina Kaif was hot in our times” or the fact that “I like cookies, go get me some”.

It happens a lot on Twitter. There is a hidden limit of number of tweets you can post continuously. Twitter does say that the per day figure is about 1000 tweets per day.

It will truly be a thing to tell your kids that you saw Pakistan lift the cup, trended #PakCricket to the top of the charts, and tweeted too hard.
